CHIEF PILOT
EXPERIENCED PILOTS An International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) based Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with appropriate aviation medical certificate is the minimum-licensing requirement for all pilot positions. Experienced pilots will carry out flying duties under the leadership of the Chief Pilot. These pilots are required to have a minimum of 1000 hours total flight time (which includes 500+ hours PIC) with appropriate experience or ratings as necessary. This could include experience on multi-engine or turbo-prop aircraft in order to operate our Cessna Caravans. An instrument rating is usually required to fly these more complex aircraft. Pilots are usually required to spend some nights away from base each month to complete planned flights.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for, amongst other things, Control of Exposition Documents, Retention of Quality Records, Management of Systems and Document Change, Quality Audits and Maintenance of Company Records.
MANAGER FLIGHT TRAINING CENTRE (FTC) Superintend the activities of the Flight Training Centre to meet corporate objectives in the provision of Flight Training Services to Mission Aviation Fellowship and the Mission Aviation Centre. This person will have a minimum of 2 years experience in MAF, Management Experience, and a minimum of an Australian CPL with Flight Instructor Rating. Experience in instructing preferred.
MINIMUM ENTRY PILOT An International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) based Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with appropriate aviation medical certificate is the minimum-licensing requirement for all pilot positions. A minimum of 500 hours total flight time is required (which includes 300 hours PIC) for operations limited to the use of the Cessna single-engine piston aircraft in visual flight weather conditions. Pilots are usually required to spend some nights away from base each month to complete planned flights. An instrument rating is highly recommended.
CHIEF ENGINEERS Responsible for the management of the aviation maintenance team and the overall maintenance operation. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate extensive aviation maintenance experience, have management or supervisory training or experience, plus the competencies necessary to take on this leadership role. Duties will include maintenance operation budgeting, hangar and stock control and supervision of other aviation maintenance staff.

The postholder must be able to demonstrate practical aviation maintenance experience. They will work closely with the Chief Engineer as a part of the maintenance team working on single piston and/or turbine engined aircraft. Duties include performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with appropriate standards and practices, supporting the effective performance and development of the aviation maintenance team and completing certification and documentation of work as required.
ENGINEERS An International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) based aviation maintenance licence is the minimum licensing requirement for all aviation maintenance vacancies. People with proven practical experience are preferred, although not a specific requirement. They will work closely with the Chief Engineer as a part of the maintenance team working on single piston and/or turbine-engined aircraft.
ENGINE SHOP SUPERVISOR In conjunction with the Chief Engineer, set realistic goals and targets for work carried out in the Engine Shop and Coordinate Resources to ensure that these objectives are met. This person would be an LAME with experience in Engine and Component Overhaul. NDT coverage in the MPI and Dye Penetrant Methods preferable.
AVIONICS ENGINEERS
Once accepted for International Service, MAF is able to assist in the conversion of existing licenses to ensure our technical standards are met.
PROGRAMME MANAGER The post-holder will be involved in managing the operational services offered to customers working in areas of need. Demonstrated ability of successful leadership and management of a multi-cultural team is essential along with good communication and interpersonal skills. This person will need to have experience in the Aviation industry and hold suitable qualifications in Business Management.
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Based in Cairns, Australia, this is a strategic appointment of a person who has overall direction of MAF Asia Pacific’s fund raising and promotional activities. Responsibilities include production and implementation of an annual tactical plan for the Development Department incorporating donor development, direct marketing, NGO funding, submissions to Trusts and Foundations, major donor initiatives, MAF International fundraising initiatives and all supporting publicity, volunteer and State Council training. Experience in promotion or fundraising especially in the Not-For-Profit sector, a knowledge of or interest in missions and excellent written and oral communication skills is essential.
STORES MANAGER
FINANCE MANAGERS Responsible for the financial accounting of one or more MAF programmes located in the Asia Pacific region. Duties will include the preparation of monthly management accounts, preparation of supporting reconciliations at year end, and preparation of annual budgets and ad-hoc reports as requested by the various Programme Managers. The successful applicant must be qualified in accounting and able to demonstrate experience in the field of accountancy.
IT MANAGER
COMPUTER SUPPORT OFFICER Based in the Cairns Group Support Office, Australia, this person will be responsible for ensuring that the computer and communication systems are used appropriately and in accordance with corporate policy; assisting and training users in the operation of the systems and their applications, and supervising the purchase and repair of equipment. Working as part of a team the post-holder will act as a referral point for user requests and feedback regarding the performance or development of the systems, installing and maintaining hardware and software for work stations and servers, and developing software solutions for specific Information Technology requirements. Some writing of procedures manuals will be required. The successful applicant will be required to hold a degree in computer science or equivalent and able to demonstrate experience in the field of information service. The post-holder will need to hold a current passport and have permission to live and work in Australia.
EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR Based in Dodoma, Tanzania this person will be responsible for advising and implementing the UK national curriculum in the international Christian Secondary School. This role would suit an experienced qualified secondary teacher. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to negotiate effectively with others are essential for this post. In addition, preference will be given to those who have experience of curriculum design. The post holder will work directly for Canon Andrea Mwaka School.

IT TECHNICIAN CRMF The post-holder will have experience in the maintenance of computer hardware, software and network administration including wireless networks. Experience in running an e-mail server is desirable as would Satellite Internet and Linux experience. In addition, the applicant will be required to train national workers. HOSTEL PARENTS To provide care for the children of parents whose work assignment and location makes it necessary for them to place their children in a children's hostel where they have access to schooling. A mature, married couple is required, who will engender the maintenance of a home atmosphere, caring for the physical, social, and spiritual needs of the children. This is a short-term, 6-month position commencing in May or June 2008.
HOME-SCHOOL SUPPORT TEACHER This teacher will be responsible for providing regular support for missionary families who are using correspondence schooling in a home-schooling environment. This role will require the post holders to travel and spend time with MAF families at outstations. The teacher will work closely with parents and students in their individual home school environment to assist students in learning and provide support for parents in achieving excellence in their educational role.
